The 36-100 can distill crude oil samples from 50 ml up to 1,000 ml!  Samples can be distilled from the initial boiling point up to 565 °C in some cases.  Distillations are performed at atmospheric pressure and under vacuums down to 0.1 mmHg.  The microprocessor and automatic fraction collector fully automate the process.  The automatic fraction collector can automatically collect up to 8 fractions during each pressure sequence.

Spinning band distillation allows the crude oil to be distilled through the whole boiling point range in a single distillation column.  This and low column hold-up prevent lose of material which is important when distilling small samples.

New software allows you to control the distillation process from a PC.  The distillation data is automatically saved at the end of the distillation.
